Site Tips and Tricks Series
Bob McElwain, originally from Los Angeles, taught mathematics and computer science in secondary schools and community colleges for thirty-two years. When not teaching. Bob also studied psychology, sociology and history at various universities, primarily USC and UCLA. He received a masters in mathematics at Boston College (1966), and an administrative credential (Cal State Northridge 1974). Amazingly, he also found time to publish a novel (Fatal Games, Pageant Press, 1989).
For many years, Bob ran a website called “Site Tips and Tricks”, building up an a very large and valuable collection of web site know-how. He has since moved on and closed down the website, but before he did, he granted permission for us to reprint his articles. Some of them are now a little dated, but they contain a tremendous amount of knowlege based on even more experience, and some of the articles contain real gems of knowledge that we thought should be made available to people.
