Smart Network Tutorial - CoffeeCup FTP

Uploading Files with CoffeeCup FTP

Uploading files to your web server is as easy as copying files from one folder to another on your computer, once you have your software set up correctly.

The only difference is that you are copying the files between your computer, which is called the "local computer" and your web hosting service's computer, which is called the "remote computer."

FTP is an abbreviation for File Transfer Protocol, a specialized data transfer method that allows you to copy files from a local computer to a remote computer over the Internet. You must have FTP software, which is often referred as an FTP Client, to manage the process. There are many different FTP clients available. CoffeeCup FTP is easy to use and it is free.
